Olympic Stadium – Montreal’s East End
Cycling from Ma Bicyclette east along the Lachine Canal bicycle path, you’ll take in Old Montreal, Concorde Bridge with magnificent views of the St. Lawrence River. Take a spin around Jean-Drapeau park before crossing the impressive Jacques-Cartier bridge heading towards Le Plateau. Continue East past Pie IX then turn north, cycling through Hochelaga and up towards the Olympic Stadium. Stop and take in the sites: Montreal’s Biome, Botanical Gardens, the Planetarium…before turning westward along the dedicated bicycle path that runs along Rachel Street.
Cycling around Park LaFontaine is peaceful – stop in to say hi to the folks at Maison des Cyclistes on the north end of this park, or stop in at La Banquise for a sample of any number of the 34 flavours of poutine on the menu. Wind your way back along Montreal’s Plateau, down Park Avenue and back to your starting point.
